To You 01:03
(Cold world, cold world) To you who is running, running, running To you who is rubbing your hungry tummy To you who is freezing freezing living In a cave I saw you frozen, sitting To you who is angry, breaking, breathing You are my heart, tail in mouth eating To you all falling, all weeping Neverending dust you must keep sweeping To you who are demon-winged flying Dream soft sleep now on a cherub's chest lying To you who in a treasure chest stay hiding Your secret light I'm forever finding (Cold world, cold world)
3.
Who were in I? That I let the spirit so quickly divide Who were inside? That I let fall my only love into a lie That night I saw the chorus's horrible frown The monsters came and ripped the chorus right down Feathers and wings fell and open chests they were spread And upon the chorus's hearts the monsters they fed Who were in I? That I was not looking towards your light Who were inside? That I let fall my only love into a lie Upon the floor of the forest the unicorn lies Her chorus singing and ringing her aching notes high If love could save her this won't be the way she will die And if love could save her then so could it save you and I Who were in I? Who were inside? (oooh, ahhh)

No I was not scared, you were way up there Your arms so strong, you held a long time to the tree Setting your spirits free (mmm) Which branch would break? you said And which branch would shake instead? And which chance would make you dead? And which thought inside your head? And which thought inside your head Would set you free, finally? There was no hand, there was no hope And the holy rope was let down slow And falling so far below (mmm) And from your nest today Which bird would fly away? And which bird would make you stay? And which bird would take away The pain from all your days And set you free, finally?

Shadows 04:11
We were driving back to our house Through the car windows we were looking out And the moon so high, like a flashlight shown down Into the dark woods where shadows move around It was when we weren't thinking And I was not to be drinking The shadows came and whispered: "You must rely on your self!" Then they took my hopes and dreams, my love and my health Further on down the road we drove Shapes starting moving out in the cold It had eyes I swear, staring straight into me You said: "What has you scared, that was just a falling leaf" It was when we weren't living And to me you were not to be giving The shadows came and whispered: "You must run for your life! For it's so cold out here and we just want to come inside" That fall was the end of us all Sometimes you can still hear its call And you, you will remember, you will And you, you will remember, you will (ahhh)

When the lady she saw you there She came from a home made of wood and bricks Her eyes fixed on you, she looked inside She said you were made of stone and sticks When I was younger I was not like this My body made of sunlight drips When I grew older through fits and fits My body made of moonlight drips But now I am just like you I creak and crack through and through Our bodies made of stone and sticks Broken bones and heavy heads and aching wrists ("If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine")

(((catbird))) All these days you just watch go When the sun hung low its light did not show All these days just went away And the chances they held are not held today And what if this was your very last day And the wishes you made, ungranted they stay And what if this was your very last day And the things never made, unmade they will stay All these days you just watch go When the sun hung low its light did not show All these days just went away And the chances they held are not held today And what if this was your very last day And the wishes you made, ungranted they stay And what if this was your very last day And things never made, unmade they will stay And how will you ever sleep? And how will you ever wake? And when you rise, what will you say To those that look and then look away? (mocking bird)

Oh, oh skeleton! you made me dead again An hour ago and nothin's gonna bring me back to life Unless you let me go, oh, skeleton! You made me dead again An hour ago and nothin's gonna bring me back to life Unless you let me go, oh, skeleton! You made me dead again An hour ago and nothin's gonna bring me back to life Unless you let me go, oh, skeleton! You made me dead again An hour ago and nothin's gonna bring me back to life Unless you let me go! Oh, oh, oh, oh! So keep on breathing skeleton! Hold that chin of yours up to the sky I wish I could be there when you die! And ooh, ooh skeleton! I never had a friend like you! Always there for me, always black and blue! And ooh, ooh skeleton! I think I fell again! Around your bones I broke into a million pieces inside you! Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh! Oh, oh, skeleton! I think I'm dead again An hour ago and nothin's gonna bring me back to life Unless you let me go!

The Fountain 01:43
(((magic))) I don't know where you'll take me tonight, I'll gladly die in your eyes I don't know where you'll take me tonight, I'll gladly die in your eyes Because I have such a lost story to tell in Hell I don't know where you'll take me tonight, I'll gladly die in your eyes I don't know where you'll take me tonight, I'll gladly die in your eyes Because I have such a lost story to tell in Hell I drank from the fountain where the others had died I drank from the fountain where the others had died And the spirits they came looking for the perfect place to hide They went into my mouth and all the way inside And they sang: "La-dee-da-dee-da-da! Da-da-dee-da-da-da-da-dee-da-da! La-da-da! La-dee-da-dee-da-da! Da-da-dee-da-da-da-da-dee-da-da! La-la!"

We can be dragons all day in the sky, I swear to you child that I wouldn't lie We flapped our wings and then went to the store Pick up the things that we need and bought more What is this ghost that lives in my heart? Watch me as I fall apart What is this song that he makes me sing? How many heads did we sink into the sea? I wish I could pluck them from their graves Blow new life back into their face Hold them up high to thee sun's rays Give them so many so many more days Oh, who is this neighbor that knocks on my door and then disappears? And all that is left his skeleton key and his sailor's beard Or is he a prince from a far away land, then where is his hand? Or is he a pirate landlocked and drunk? His ship is a house that has sunk Or he is he an old man like you and I? Just waiting to die We can be dragons all day in the sky, I swear to you child that I wouldn't lie

Oh! Dee-dee-dee-dee Oh! Dee-dee-dee-dee I was just watching you sleep in bed Dee-dee-dee-dee Oh! Dee-dee-dee-dee I was just watching you dream again Dee-dee-dee-dee Oh! Dee-dee-dee-dee And who's that riding in your hair when you walk through the fire? Who's gonna make your bed when you become too tired? When is this gonna end? And when is this gonna end? And who's gonna wash our hands when we're finished with this world? Who's gonna wash our hands when we're finished with this world? Who's gonna wash our hands when we're finished with this world? Oh! Dee-dee-dee Oh! Dee-dee-dee-dee I was just watching this life pass by Dee-dee-dee-dee I was just getting tired myself Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee And will we wake up, with our hands tied in knots? And when we make up, this is our whole life forgotten This is when you hold my hand and never ever look back And this is when you hold my hand and never ever look back But who's gonna wash that hand when it's finished with this world? Who's gonna wash that hand when it's finished with this world? Who's gonna wash our hands when we're finished with this world? Oh! Ohhh

("When this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. The tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then.. all goodness is in jeopardy")

Once in a while I feel like a child And I do not forget to smile And will you walk into the woods with me? And will you bend down on your knees? I made a crown from the forest down And will you be my queen? Once in a while I feel like an old man And I do not wish his cold hand And will you walk into the woods with me? And will you bend down on your knees? I made a crown from the forest down And will you be my queen? Once in a while I feel more alive than The sun that gave birth to me and this sky And will you walk into the woods with me? And will you bend down on your knees? I made a crown from the forest down And will you be my queen? Once in a while I feel almost dead But I will lift up this tired head And will you walk into the woods with me? And will you bend down on your knees? I made a crown from the forest down And will you be my queen? I left the water on, too long that I drowned again And I watched the water roll down from your crown And I will always have missed that first kiss And I sometimes wish that I could have died And you will always fly as high as the towers in the sky And you who knows whose hand to hold when you cry, where was I? And I left the oven on, too long that I burned up inside I watched the fire climb from your neck to your chin to your eyes And I will always have missed that first kiss And I sometimes wish that I could have died And you will always fly as high as the towers in the sky And you who knows whose hand to hold when you cry, where was I? And I went for a walk in the woods, I got lost for the rest of my life And the wolves they follow me, and oh they will eat me alive And I will always have missed that first kiss And I sometimes wish that I could have died And you will always fly as high as the towers in the sky And you who knows whose hand to hold when you cry, where was I?
